Blue Power Partners is supporting worldwide leading developers, suppliers, and asset owners within Power-to-X. Our business is growing fast, and we are right now expanding our activities and looking for a Financial Modelling Specialist.

About the job

You will join our Modelling and Origination team which is tasked with delivering world-class renewable energy solutions. The team is comprised of an eclectic range of knowledgeable experts, ranging from different experience levels and you will be working alongside people with a broad range of skills from a variety of cultures. You should enjoy being involved in a broad range of tasks, including, but not limited to:

  • Run and structure detailed DCF models for financial evaluation of project and equity returns of projects
  • Run and structure detailed DCF models for financial evaluation of project and equity returns of projects
  • Calculation of key project metrics such as LCoE, project IRR and equity IRR.
  • Managing and organizing data for key business case assumptions including CAPEX, OPEX, offtake, operational performance
  • Structuring and preparing presentations for clients.
  • Work with our backend data engineers and data analyst to deliver automated modelling and benchmarking solutions.

 

About you

You are passionate about developing renewable energy and with your can-do attitude and aim to lead a change, you take responsibility. Being successful in this role depends on your abilities to maneuver in a young, entrepreneurial organization where no two days are the same. You are curious, outgoing, and eager to empower your potential. We expect you to enrich our business with the following experience and skills: 

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with financial modelling and evaluation (NPV, IRR, LCoX) of renewable projects either for a consultancy, a renewable project developer, or an independent power producer
  • Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar
  • You are living and breathing Excel
  • You have deep insight into the workings and financing of renewable energy projects and apply this in combination with your understanding of what drives investment decisions, to deliver on point and accurate analyses and assessments.
  • Relevant educational background within Business, Finance or Engineering, with top academic performance
  • Making high quality presentations to perfection in PowerPoint suitable for investment committees and senior decision-makers
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal / organizational skills
