The Role
You will play a part in establishing a new branch of the Global Project Controlling function in Japan. Our clients invest in the development of large-scale renewable projects (focusing on onshore wind, solar & BESS), and the need for financial transparency and accurate cost controlling is crucial. You will be responsible for providing insightful financial information through accurate cost controlling and financial analysis to contribute for the team.
You will join a team who are passionate about their role in the projects and prioritize knowledge sharing and close cooperation in the team.
Your accountabilities are likely to vary, but your main tasks could include the following:
- Support our clients across the world with insightful project controlling
- Ongoing control of project-related cost
- Act as the business partner towards the project management group and take an active part in the daily operations from a financial perspective
- Drive the budgeting and reporting process together with the project management team
- Take an active part in developing and implementing controlling systems and reporting tools Provide precise and trustworthy decision material to clients
- Ad hoc analysis
We are ready and able to invest the time needed for you to fulfil the role as a Manager of Project Controls. The learning curve will be steep, but you will experience extensive development and much responsibility and influence in your position.
About you
Our projects run cross-functionally, therefore it is essential that you have excellent communication skills. An interest in gaining knowledge about renewable projects’ technical and commercial aspects is also needed.
We value the right match of personal and professional skills;
- Relevant Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or similar
- You have a strong interest in data and the automatization of financial processes
- You have a strong business acumen and a proactive approach to problem solving
- Fluent English skills, Native in Japanese – both written and verbal
