We are expanding our activities and currently looking for an experienced Senior Development Manager. Preferred location Cardiff or Edinburgh where the Developer is based but open to evaluate profiles located in other UK locations, with availability to travel 1-2 days a week.

ABOUT THE ROLE
To be successful in this role you balance strategic direction with active business development, operations enhancement, and relationship management to expand our onshore development business. Your accountabilities are likely to vary, but your main tasks may include:
- Lead the development of wind and solar PV assets from a technical and administrative perspective, from early stage to construction handover, by effective planning, monitoring, controlling, and reporting. Special focus on workstreams such as conceptual design, land securing, permitting and interconnection.
- Represent BPP to the client, in relation to a single large scale renewable energy generation development, formed by wind and solar PV assets. Act as an interface towards the Head of Packages PtX, with support from a team of specialists.
- Lead a project team formed by engineers, designers, specialists, and project management roles. Manage outsourced engineering work, technical consultancy and all design and engineering interfaces within the project.
- Provide profound technical support to Project Director and Head of Packages in interaction with the Project Steerco, Project Board of directors, Procurement director and all the other stakeholders. Management of the associated budget within the Generation Package.
- Schedule and manage tasks and resources from different teams within the company and third-party consultants.
- Manage the project schedule and planning. Manage ongoing risk assessment in coordination with project organization and PMO.
- Provide technical and commercial input to the procurement strategy for all aspects related to Generating Assets.
- Support engagement and contract negotiation related to advisors, equipment suppliers, EPC and O&M contractors for the project ensuring all technical requirements related to all aspects related to the facility are scoped within the tender materials.
- Coordinate together with Head of Packages the handover process of Generating assets to the Construction Management team.
- Build and develop solid long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
ABOUT YOU

- Minimum 10 years of experience in project development and construction in the renewable energy sector.
- Knowledge of development methodology and approach for large-scale renewable project development in United Kingdom (workstreams including conceptual design, real estate, environmental, permitting, interconnection and finance).
- Understanding of development requirements with a construction mindset, to reach RTB and efficiently hand over the project to a dedicated construction team.
- Ability to manage complex projects and interface between commercial and technical aspects.
- Strong business acumen and commercial understanding/awareness.
- Agility in utilizing general software and systems, as for example GIS, CAD, SharePoint, Project, etc.
- Ability to utilize and apply the skill set of other project staff and act as a mentor to development managers involved in the project.
