Meet Sahba Khademideljo, Assistant Development Manager in our Australian branch, and learn more about how Blue Power Partners is trying to change the future of the energy sector.
Sahba joined Blue Power Partners at the beginning of 2024, and although she has only been with us for a little over half a year now, she already feels like she has been part of BPP for a long time due to how amazing her introductory period has felt:
“From the very beginning, it was clear that the entire team consistently supported each other. My colleagues generously introduced me to various technical aspects of the projects, while my manager provided relevant reading material and guidance on navigating the tasks. In addition to this massive support, BPP also gave me the opportunity for a scholarship to pursue related courses”.
In her day-to-day tasks, Sahba is responsible for various tasks, such as finance, contracts, stakeholder management, meeting running, and coordination between the team and external contractors. Having such a varying set of tasks means that Sahba has had the chance to already build on her skillset, as she explains:
“Although I am relatively new to this industry, I really enjoy the learning process. Working at BPP gives me constant chances to learn something new concerning different projects and their connections to different geographic locations. Compared to other areas of the construction or energy sector, it is an interesting and active industry. New technology becomes available almost daily, so you can consistently see the development”.
This is one of the reasons that Sahba enjoys being part of an industry that moves so quickly, as it offers exciting opportunities and allows you to build on your knowledge consistently as the industry continues to develop. This is also why Sahba believes that there is an excellent alignment with Blue Power Partners focus on internal career development:
It is a fast-growing company with many opportunities, so it is clear how many internal opportunities there are to further my career. I specifically remember my manager telling me that he was not just giving me tasks but also preparing me to improve myself for the next step.
It is, however, not only the professional development opportunities that make Sahba happy to be part of Blue Power Partners, as she highlights the importance of having a healthy company culture:
“It is amazing to be a part of an international company that celebrates and appreciates diversity, and it is prominent to me when we collaborate with offices across the globe, solidifying the commitment to learning from each other’s strengths. The work-life balance within BPP is also something that I would like to highlight; the flexible working arrangements have made a huge difference to me as a single mom.”
Looking towards the future of the energy sector, Sahba believes that she is in the perfect position to leave her mark on a greener and better future:
“I believe this industry represents the future, and I want to be part of it. As a refugee woman, I aspire to go as far as possible. I want to show others in similar situations that they can achieve their goals and thus help people overcome their barriers and reach their fullest potential. This is not only about a job but also about the future of our planet, which is why we must continue working towards clean energy for the next generation”.
